iPad and Packing Cube Shoulder Bag

I'm thinking of getting the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag (in Ultraviolet Dyneema, of course!) because I want a distinctive cube (say, in ultraviolet) that I'll use for underwear, socks, toiletries, etc. and reserve my steel fabric packing cube for shoes.

I decided that it probably makes sense to get the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag to have an extra bag to use when I don't have room to pack my Swift. On my trip this week I'm using my Iberian Backpack Packing Cube (for the first time!) to pack larger items and will use it carry stuff between the hotel and the conference. But I could see wanting a smaller bag too.

So, on to the question: Will the iPad in a cache fit in a Packing Cube Shoulder Bag? The dimensions suggest it will just fit in height. Will there be room for other things as well?

I can check with my iPad later today but I don't have a Cache for it. It would just be the iPad in the Apple cover.

However, an MBA11 in a TB Cache fits perfectly. (NB: I tried it with the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag empty, but there was a bit of room left, so a few other things would probably fit just fine.)

      Hope that helps.

Edited: I wanted to add that the PCSB I used is an older one in Steel. Don't have an Ultraviolet one (yet!). I don't think TB has changed the sizing, but I wanted to be clear on which one I used just in case they have.

I checked, and an iPad in the Apple case fits in the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag with room to spare, so I would think an iPad with the TB Cache would fit without any issues.

I'll just say yes, this fits into my original Packing Cube Shoulder Bag in Steel. The foam extends slightly above and below the back panel seams when laid flat, by about 1/4 inch, but because there's about an inch of clearance with the actual iPad, and the PCSB is not a rigid bag, this works very well. I can fit in a full size hard cover book and light jacket, as well -- or a Field Journal Notebook and Kindle plus light shell.

The iPad is great to browse with, but I've lost about four or five detailed forum posts trying to input replies -- usually when I try to include links. So I'll leave out the details about dimensions and links that were lost, and just post this reply. I will add that the iPad cache is taller than the cache for the 11" MacBook Air by about the width of the piping on the cache case.

Thanks for checking! Looks like there's an ultraviolet PCSB in my future.
