    Empire Builder inside dimensions?

What are the inside dimensions fo the Empire Builder? Will 11x17 papers fit in there?

As an aside, it would be great if the product information pages gave inside dimensions of the compartments.

    thanks!

The inside of the Empire Builder is not square -- it has rounded corners, and because of that, it won't fit your 11x17 papers. Its maximum interior main compartment dimensions are approximately 17.5 x 13".
Have a question? @Darcy (to make sure I see it)

thanks for the quick response. The follow-up qustion you may have seen coming is, what Bihn bag will fit 11x17 papers? I presume Tristar. how about Western Flyer or Checkpoint Flyer? 11x17 is a common format in the construction industry, but briefcases for it can be hard to come by.

          Hi green,

Check out the old forum thread on Smart Alec for a Smart Architect. You'll find that the Brain Bag should work very well for 11x17 papers. (The Smart Alec in question can't fit them in unfolded and unrolled.)

You might also be able to use either the Western Flyer or the Tri-Star based on the dimensions of the large packing cubes for these bags (17.3 x 11.4 x 3" for the Western Flyer; 18.7 x 12.8 x 2.3" for the Tri-Star).

I often have need to transport reams of A3 paper (11.7" x 16.5") and I've had no trouble fitting entire wrapped reams into either the Tristar (holds 3 reams but this is heavy!) or the Smart Alec (awkward fit; only holds one ream).

The Brain Bag will hold 3 reams.
