iPad with case in Ristretto?

I'm looking to get a Ristretto bag so that I can carry my iPad 2 (along with phone, wallet, slim camera and a few other things).

I'd like to get the Ristretto that is made for the iPad, but I am worried that my iPad may to big with the case attached. I have the SwitchEasy Canvas ( CANVAS for iPad 2 - SwitchEasy ) which makes it a little bigger in width depth and height (it's the width I'm most worried about).

I've seen some reviews that the Ristretto iPad may not fit an iPad with certain cases, but others that seem to indicate it would.

Any advise appreciated on whether I should go with the Riestretto iPad or the Ristretto 11 inch MacBook Air?

Smarteasy canvas is pretty slim so I reckon it would fit. Alternatively you could put the ipad in the pocket in front of the ipad sleeve and use the sleeve for a kindle or something. I have my Ipad in a Waterfield smart case which is thicker than the Smarteasy and am reluctant not to take that with me in the Ristretto.

I have an iPad2 with a Switcheasy CoverBuddy and the Apple smartcover. I carry it in my Ristretto for 11" MacbookAir (I have one of those) and have had no problems. (Note: I do not carry both the ipad and computer at the same time.) The padding is sufficient to protect the ipad and it is suspended off the bottom of the case. The ipad is a bit loose in sleeve part of the Ristretto and could conceivably slip out of the sleeve as the tuck-in top may not hold if the bag is upended. To avoid problems, I make sure that the Ristretto is closed and "latched" when I carry it.
