Size of main non-padded compartment of Ristretto for iPad

    Hi folks,

I'm a thoroughly happy Medium Cafe Bag user thinking about getting a Ristretto to give my iPad a bit more protection. The thing I'm having difficulty picturing is how thick the large unpadded area is. If anyone has both of these bags, how does it compare to the main compartment of the MCB?

Will a 1 or 1.5" thick book fit in there ok? If so, would you fit much else?

    Thanks,

    Jonathan
(Also have to pick a colour which is always tough. If I do get one might go with Steel/Wasabi for a change from my black MCB. But that, of course, is personal.)

I can fit my Canon D3100 SLR and a spare lens in there with my iPad. I do have to put the Camera in first before I put in my iPad. Right now I have my Bose Headset case in there and that is at least 1.5" thick.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
