    2012 Wish List

OK I decided it was time since I miss the 2011 wish list. I am still hopeful for the arrival of a Freudian Slip sized for the Synapse .... And for a smaller version of the Aeronaut - that form factor but the size of a TriStar or Western Flyer or somewhere in between.

    Ah... I feel better now!!

I wish for a successful year at Tom Bihn so new designs can be explored, and my husband's work so that I can buy more Tom Bihn bags.
Oh, it just auto saved while I was thinking of what to type next, how cool is that!
on the Bag front I wish for a Black Little Swift, in Ultrasuede or Ballistic. The proverbial classic black handbag.
I really, really like TB Bags!

I managed to sneak in the same wish into my post in the Your go-to-bag thread:

I wish that I hadn't waited so long to buy my Cadet, but I did and now the one I want won't be available until after the conference at which I had fantasized about carrying it.

Sad, but unfortunately an all too common experience. Was it the 15/13 Black/Iberian Cadet (judging from your past posts expressing admiration for this color combination)?

Thanks for starting this thread, @rabergnc. I missed the old wish list, too.

              Dear Santa (I mean Tom),

I just know I'm going to be really good in 2012, so I think it's fair to send you my wish list early. That way you have plenty of time to get things ready for me. As I display spectacular behavior over the year, I'll send you updates so you can prepare rewards for me commensurate with my awesomeness.

              1. A Side Effect without the waist strap. Many members of the forum contributed ideas for modifications, but we were almost universal in our wish to lose the waist strap.

              2. A Tom Bihn diaper bag, hopefully soon so that I can use it for my little dudes.

              3. A real-time list of what Organizer Pouches are available so I can use that information when planning larger bag purchases. Or when I just need a little treat.

              4. The option for Organizer Pouches with an o-ring instead of the snaphook assembly.

              5. New Dyneema colors.

              6. Return of some older bags that have been retired, like the Utility Tote. Maybe as limited runs in new colors. I think this would be a fun way to celebrate the history of the Tom Bihn product line.

              7. A Side Effect without the waist strap. I know I already said this one, but I really want it. And I wanted to make sure you were listening.

That's all I have time for now, San-Tom, but I'll stay in touch.

              Thanks!
              Janine

Double sided pen case(s) with slots like in the FJN for 2+2 or 4+4 pens and an Ultrasuede insert in between to protect pen from one side from scuffing the pens in the other.

The design could be easily adapted for needles with the input of TB forum knitters and Ravelry.

A Pouch sized to hold Half Letter and A5 paper.

A little bit taller and longer than the Medium Pouch, roughly the same transformation that was made to the Original Large Pouch.

A 3D Clear Organizer Cube and 3D Organizer Cube

Designed to hold Half Letter and A5 paper: blank refills or past months, artwork, notes, lists... created in the FJN but that need to be archived in order to avoid the Brick Notebook Syndrome.

                  I wish for...

... an Imago in Azalea, Cork and Wasabi.
... an Ego in Black and Kiwi. It could have either an Azalea or Ultraviolet Lining with either an Azalea, UV or Snow Leopard strip.
... or better yet, find Azalea in Ballistic so the Ego could be Black and Azalea (OH! Kiwi and Azalea!)
... and since there now exists (in my fantasy wish list world) Azalea in Ballistic we could have an Azalea Areonaut!

Still looking for a suit/sportjacket packing-cube-type accessory for Aeronaut. I do successfully get a sportcoat in mine, but some kind of innovative folder-type thing would be really great.

And maybe a "Super-Synapse". Exactly the same as the current bag but 20% bigger. I know that Smart Alec is intended to be in this space but the organization/pocket configuration on the Synapse is as perfect as I can imagine for a travel bag... it is just a tad small. And, how about considering a hydration bladder sleeve/loop on the inside of the main compartment along with a "port" for a hydration tube. Minimally, all that would be needed to add this functionality is a small loop sewn into the top of the main compartment to engage with the hook on the top of every camelbak bladder, along with a simple overlapping port at the top.

I think you've hit the nail on the head here. I too would love to see a mega-Synapse.

I agree with this suggestion. I'd love to see a Synapse offered in a size between the current one and the Smart Alec, basically a bag you can safely market as holding a 15" laptop, but with all the great pockets that a Synapse has and a Smart Alec lacks.

Also, I want to see the bag offered in Plum again.
