Vertical Cache for Macbook Air 11"?

I was wondering if there is/was a vertical cache for the 11" Macbook Air? I noticed in the cache drop down options that it's not currently listed and did not know if that means it's just not currently available, it's no longer being made, or never existed. I plan on getting the 2012 MBA when it gets released and want to use it with my LCB (soon to be in my hands!). A vertical cache just makes more sense in a vertical messenger because I would be able to remove the MBA without removing the cache.
