Thanks, dorayme. I totally agree.... the padded handles really help me to carry the loads. It's such a simple thing, but makes a world of difference. Now the loads seem much lighter (either that or I'm getting stronger!). And the shop bags still fold down into almost nothing... love that Dyneema!

Excellent pictures gochicken. I agree with Lani's description of the sizes of the bags. I have 4 Large Shop Bags. I love them all. I can handle them both even when loaded up with books or juice jugs. I use them for my weekly grocery run, but for other uses too. I always take one or more when I travel. The padded handles, and the fact that the strap is long enough to go over the shoulder make carrying heavy loads much easier than larger totes that just have hand holds.

I too find the steel dyneema more black than grey, which makes me happy as I'm really not a 'grey' person. Strangely though, the UV and solar in the shop bags don't appeal ... I think it's a bit of a reaction against the cheap and nasty luridly coloured "green" shopping bags sold by various shops here.

I have a small shop bag in steel - I've not bought a large because it would simply hold too much for me to carry comfortably (unless I was buying only paper towels or popcorn!).

Badger, Badger, Badger. My husband loves grey. I hate grey. Can't say why, but it's just one of those shades that sucks the color out of life for me. Bright beautiful color is one of those things that, like Powdermilk Biscuits, "gives folks the strength to get up and do what has to be done." Especially stuff that requires a Shop Bag.

The large is very large. The easiest way I can compare it is to think of the small one as comparable to a plastic store bag, and the large to be more like a brown paper grocery sack.

You can always give it a whirl. If you don't like it, just send it back. But give it a try. It's OK if you don't fall in love with it; the large shop bags are very functional so if nothing else, you can use it for those days when you have a ton of stuff to stuff in a bag, like a very big picnic or something.

I LOVE my small UV Shop Bag. It's the perfect size for everything! I'd love to have one in every color... but it's only made in UV and Steel and, well, steel is GREY and a lot of you know how I feel about GREY.

I'm wondering if the large bag will be too big since I'm positive the small is *perfect* in every way. I've looked at the measurements and tried to conceptualize but if one of you kind people who have both would care to stuff a few towels (or balls of yarn!) or whatever in each and take a side by side picture I'd be ever so grateful.

(Darcy, that might be a good picture suggestion for the Shop Bag product page...)
Working...
