cleaning oil stains inside a cafe bag.

if a cleaning question has been asked before, please do provide a link and i will go right there. if not here is what happened : there are some oil stains from food inside my cafe bag. is it okay to clean my bag with soap? i am thinking of using dr. bronner's soap. i just want to get that smell out, i don't really care if i can still see the stain, it's on the inside after all. any advice is appreciated.

Darcy suggested mirazyme to remove smells, and the results were posted in the thread:http://forums.tombihn.com/tom-bihn-n...ave-swift.html. I've cleaned my bags with Dr. Bronner's soap, and I've also used Woolite, which seems to work well. These don't seem to remove oil-based stains, though — only the water soluble ones, so you may still see a slight discoloration. Maybe someone else has a suggestion?

I has sticky, oily honey mustard sauce leak inside my MCB. I turned it inside out (and it still looked great!) and scrubbed it with a very weak solution of dishwashing liquid (Dawn, I think) and water, then rinsed very well to get all the soap off, then let it air dry overnight (still inside out). No stains left - looks good as new. Hope this helps.
