Question About Color

I've pretty much decided on a Smart Alec. The one problem is that the color I really want is no longer available. I love the black/steel combination on the outside of the bag (but the lining was solar, so I guess the production of the entire combination has stopped production since solar has been discontinued). The question is, is there any way to find out if a black/steel combination will be coming again anytime soon (I guess maybe with the new color as the lining)? If so then I may very well wait to see that before placing an order.

The Smart Alec in Black/Steel/New-Dyneema-Color-We-Can't-Tell-You-About-Yet should be available sometime late July - late September.

We anticipate that the Smart Alec in Black/Steel/Some Color will be available for order in September. Sorry I can't be more specific! It might be Black/Steel/Steel, or Black/Steel/Iberian, or Black/Steel/Wasabi... we haven't decided yet.

Yes and yes: haven't yet determined lining colors.

I have another question about colors : I see that the Steel Dyneema Synapse is finally available with an interior other than Solar (obviously, now). Will it ever be available with Steel Dyneema exterior and Ultraviolet Dyneema interior? What about the Ultraviolet Dyneema exterior coming back?

We love color, and we love playing around with different colors, but it's often a spontaneous process, so predictions about which colors will be available and when might prove not to be accurate. So, in short: we're not sure. It'll be fun to find out!

May I ask if the backpack WF was already made in Forest/UV? And if it will be in the future?

I just got back from one week in Yellowstone with my new Tri-Star, but I think it is a bit big for me (or I am not strong enough for it!). At 17 pounds, I was able to comfortably carry it around for short distances, and it wasn't even fully packed, but I think I need to downsize to either a Smart Alec or WF. Of course, the TS comes in Forest/UV, but not the WF right now......
