    Diaper cube for imago?

Hi Folks! (sorry been etching too many Tom bihn YouTube videos . I just ordered my first bag and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what might work as a small back within for 1-2 diapers, a small bottle and bib. Stuff like that. I'm a gadget guy and a nurse so I have been a messenger bag person for a long time. My problem is I really don't like unpacking all the baby stuff when I go to work so I have room for lunch water and stethoscope etc. I was looking at the quarter clear cube or the shoulder cube as a mini diaper thing to take in and out as needed. I don't mind restocking it daily and would like it small enough to fit the imago with a little extra room. Thanks so much for any suggestions.

I think the Clear Quarter Packing Cube or the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag would work great.

Another option: see this photo of the Snake Charmer tweeted by @SimplyBike --

@tombihn your "snake charmer" bag makes the absolute best diaper bag! I suggest you rename it the "baby charmer." pic.twitter.com/MaRqVOKW

Have a question? @Darcy (to make sure I see it)

Current carry: testing new potential materials in the form of Original Large Shop Bags.

I think both the Clear Quarter cube and the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag would be excellent diaper bags within the Imago. The Clear Quarter Cube would allow for separating the diapers/cream and wipes from bib/bottle/etc. The Shoulder bag would mean you probably don't have to fold the diapers at all especially when you get into the larger sizes. I would possibly combine a Medium Organizer Pouch within the Shoulder Bag for separating out smaller items, though the front pocket will also allow for organization and separation.

When you figure out your diaper bag, please come back and post pictures. I'm long past the diaper bag stage, but I think there are many forum members who would benefit from seeing it.

Thank you for your great ideas. I am thinking of going the shoulder bag route. I like the option of adding a strap. I will definitely post some pics! Thanks again

Take a look at Janine's pictures of the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag in her thread http://forums.tombihn.com/customer-p...-hospital.html and read through all the pages, since there are different photos in posts one every page of the thread. You can also use the Aeronaut end pocket packing cubes inside the Imago, but the PCSB has more depth, has an extra front zippered pocket, and is handier to pull out and wear with a separate shoulder strap. It also takes up the full width of the Imago.

The Clear Quarter Packing Cube works if you want more organization (separate zipped compartments front and back side), and the ability to see the contents through the clear plastic on either side of the cube. It has a handle loop that makes it easy to pull out, and holds more than the product page photos would suggest because of the depth of each side. (You'd need to find some of dorayme's pictures with knitting projects in this packing cube to get a better idea of the capacity). It's also nice that the two compartments are separately zipped, and visible. Dorayme's assessment is spot on for how you could use the two. You can fit another bag, like the Side Effect, into the Imago along with the Clear Quarter Packing Cube.

I'm attaching a picture that shows the relative sizes of these bag in the Imago. Apologies for the poor picture quality and colors, but this was a quick shot with my iPhone while I was on the way out. In back is an empty PCSB in Iberian dyneema. On the left is a steel Side Effect with wrist strap, and to the right is the Clear Quarter Packing Cube in Iberian. You can't fit in all these bags if they're fully packed, because the width of the Imago would limit you. The PCSB will take up a good chunk of the available space in your Imago, but I think it's probably the best selection for you.

          Dimensions of the PCSB are: 11.75" x 7.75" x 3" / 300 x 200 x 80mm
          Dimensions of the CQPC are: 7.8" x 6.7" x 3" (200 x 170 x 80 mm)
          (External) Dimensions of the Imago are: 14.5" x 12.25" x 3.5" / 370 x 310 x 90mm

So these bags take up most of the horizontal (internal) space of the bag, and 3" of the 3.5" width, but leave you space either above or below these bags for more items.

Moriond, this would be excellent for the going marsupial thread. I never really considered the PCSB in the imago, but they are a great pairing!

@dorayme yes, this is a good candidate for the going marsupial thread. @darcy is the strap that came with the Breve an option for the PCSB? I think that might work better for this bag used as a diaper bag than the broader standard strap that is a purchasing option, and is sturdier than the key straps Janine was using in the photos in my earlier links. I'll attach a picture of the PCSB with the shoulder strap from my Breve. The wider standard strap (from a Cafe bag) is shown for comparison at the edge.

You'll be able to order the Breve shoulder strap, the Standard Shoulder Strap, and others, for use on any bag they work with, off the website very soon. Maybe even next week! In the meantime, anyone who wants to order the Breve shoulder strap can do so by emailing ([email protected]) or calling us at 1-800-729-9607 to arrange that.

Thank to all you guys for your great advise I just sat down and ordered the PCSB. I will let you know how things work out on the marsupial diaper bag idea.
