Thanks for the links, and for the comments! I'm going to go ahead and order one! It will be a great addition to my TB travel collection, and I think it will be awesome for road trips, train trips, plan trips, pretty much any time I need to be in travel-mode longer than an hour.
I'm still not sure I'm ready to give up my Synapse as my purse (I love my Synapse, I'm embarrassed to admit I've even named it), but the Co-Pilot will still be a great addition even if it doesn't end up as a purse.
Welcome!

Anyone use a Co-Pilot as a purse?

I use my dyneema co-pilot as kind of a hybrid purse/briefcase, and really love it. I often carry papers back and forth from work, and it's just big enough for that. I love the center pocket for carrying my thermos, and the main pocket is big enough for my lunch if I haven't overpacked it with books, papers and the iPad.
I agree with everything the review said, including her wish that the 2 end pockets on the front were flipped. It's something to do with being right-handed and how I keep expecting the fuzzy phone pocket to be on the end that's really easy to unzip while wearing the bag cross body. I instinctively go one way, and the pocket location confuses me. (Okay, that sounds really weird, but it's a hard-to-explain truth; not sure how long it will take me to get used to this!)

I do!
I like to mix up my EDC- sometimes it's a LCB or a Synapse or a Swift or, yes, a Co Pilot. I know it's a little luggagey looking, but I don't care! I'm partial to the water bottle holder and the pen holders. Silly, I know. But I'm the mom of eight kids (yes, eight, just ask my poor abs!) and so function trumps all. I figure it's still a better looking bag than half of the diaper bags out there and the pockets in the main compartment fit diapers and wipes perfectly! So it works great for me with baby and toddler and kid paraphanalia, but quite frankly, I think it's a great EDC even without the kid considerations.
HTH!

I have the co-pilot and LOVE it however, I don't think it would be very purse like. It is really more like luggage than an EDC bag -- I have the navy/solar so perhaps the dyneema versions may be different in that regard. I don't think access while you are carrying it would be as easy as (most) purses or cafe bags. I use it to store and carry all of my dslr camera accessories and it is absolutely perfect for that task tho

Darn that bag just looks so cool. I am sorely tempted. I know the Cafe Bags work great as purses, but I love compartments.Tags: None
