13" Macbook Air in Brain Cell 6Z now or 6X later?

I am in need of a protective sleeve for my 13" Macbook Air that will usually live in my messenger bag, but that can also double as a stand-alone bag at times. After far too much time on the internet, I've decided that a horizontal Brain Cell will best suit my needs.

I noticed that there's a size designed specifically for my computer, the 6X, but it won't ship until late November and I was hoping to have this to travel to job interviews within the next 3 weeks. My other concern is that my Macbook Air has a hard case attached to the bottom with a small Kensington lock slot protruding from it (http://tinyurl.com/9xwqq7h). Would this still fit in the 6X Brain Cell, or am I better off getting the 6Z made for the 13" Macbook Pro now anyway due to that extra piece of plastic?

Many thanks for any advice or input.

The dimensions of the 13" MBPro are:
    Height: 0.95 inch (2.41 cm)
    Width: 12.78 inches (32.5 cm)
    Depth: 8.94 inches (22.7 cm)

    ... and the 13" MBAir:
    Height: 0.11-0.68 inch (0.3-1.7 cm)
    Width: 12.8 inches (32.5 cm)
    Depth: 8.94 inches (22.7 cm)

The width and depth are virtually identical, so I'm not so sure that the 6Z is going to help fit the lock cover. That said, it appears that my size 4Z for a 15" MBPro has enough room left over to accomodate that protruding Kensington lock. The 6Z will probably work just fine, but might not provide the same protection as the eventual 6X.

Why not buy the 6Z now and then the 6X later? If the 6X turns out to work for you, you can put the 6Z up on ebay in a couple of months and only take a small loss on the transaction. If the 6X doesn't work, send it back and keep the 6Z.

adamki, thanks for the info that your MBP has a little room leftover in the Brain Cell designed for it – that gives me confidence that my lock case isn't likely to be a problem in either case. I'm not sure why I hadn't thought of your idea of 6Z now, 6X later (perhaps because I've never sold anything on ebay?), but it's a terrific one. Thanks for helping me out!

        Hi!

Actually, there are a couple of 6X Horizontal Brain Cells available now! . I'd be happy to set one aside for you if you'd like to order the 6X now rather than later .
