Remove Annex Clips?

My new WF arrived today. I believe the annex clips are removable. I don't plan to use them.

1. What is the best way to remove them?
2. Once removed, can they be re-attached, if needed later.

This may have been answered before, but could not find a description.

Got the aubergine/steel as that was the only color choice available for wf with luggage strap, The aubergine is beautiful, but was hoping for dyneema for the lighter weight.
