This is what I figured out to do to stop the jingle jangle...

This is what I did on the S19:

    Quiet Zipper Pull Attachment Method?-s19pulls-jpg

But it was still pretty jingly. On the SE, which has to be quiet, I did this:

    Quiet Zipper Pull Attachment Method?-zipperpullside-jpg

Which, since it goes through the zipper part as well as the pull really softens the noise. The other benefit is that by putting it behind the pull, it is pulling the way the zipper wants to open and close, so it makes it easier to operate, if that makes sense. They do kind of stick out, but it helps me see if a zipper is open or not

    Another photo:

I tried threading the cord through the slider, then both of the holes on the pull, but it made everything too stiff for the pull to move freely. I think you could do it with thinner cord...

A forum member recommend this paracord, "a touch of grey", for Black Halcyon (can't find who/where now but thanks mystery person!). You can buy 50' on Amazon for $5.50.

Anyway, I tried it out tonight with some of the recommendations here and I think it looks awesome. I did the reverse threading from the picture above because I like to have the cord showing when the zippers are closed ... don't know why I prefer that, but I did. As a note, this paracord is much thicker than Bihn's so it requires more patience but wasn't tough. The clips uninstall so if you screw up or want to change it, it's not too bad. Here's what it looks like:

It's a night shot with a flash so a lot of artifacts in there ... I can take a better one if anyone cares. I'm going to install on my pilot and A45 tomorrow.

I note your upside-down zipper pull installation. Personal preference?

For people who want to check out the original Paracord recommendation, and the pictures that were attached, I believe the post by @Bijouxandbeads [#130] in the Share Your Bag Hacks/Creative Uses thread is the source:

(I've been having trouble remembering which of the two middle zippers to unzip to get to my keys, so decided to add a visual reminder.)

(There's also additional discussion in that thread about Reflective Black Paracord, which @Bijouxandbeads uses with Original (Black) Halcyon.)

Just added the stock pulls to my A30. This is compact and sturdy, and I think doubled up looks symmetrical.

I plan on braiding some kumihimo (Japanese braiding) for customized zipper pulls.

Is there an easy way to get the TB zipper pulls off so I can reuse the hardware of the end tabs?
Or would I be better off just buying new zipper pull hardware off the accessories page?

@BWeaves, You should be able to reuse your zipper pulls. See the HOW DO YOU REMOVE zipper pulls? thread.

I put this over on the other thread too - if you have a basic pliers:

I use a pliers and it's super easy with no damage:

(1.) Gently use the pliers to hold - not grab or squeeze - the tab insert - use the first large plier serration to fit around the zipper pull insert edges:

(2.) Use your other hand to grip the pull barrel and slide it up - they slide very easily and come right off

Thanks! I thought it would be harder than that.

UPDATE: That doesn't work for me. It might be that you have your zipper pulls installed upside down.

My TB faces the other direction, like in the zipper pull video. When I put them on, they snapped pretty tightly shut. Mine won't budge.
