Any more clues/hints on the Muse release?

Having just had to pack my Synapse 19 for a half-day trip into the city tomorrow, I am now less patiently waiting for the Muse! My Sprout was just atiiiiiiiiiiiny bit too small, and the S19 is nearly twice as large as what I need. Everything I've seen so far on the Muse makes it seem like it would be the perfect in-between.

Could we at least know if the "muse" is in the Synapse family or the Aeronaut family? I am holding off purchasing an Aeronaut until the release...

They just updated the existing Aeronaut bags to include some additional changes. They've stated that the "muse" is smaller than a Synapse 25, would you want an Aeronaut smaller than 25L?

If you're buying an Aeronaut, I'm guessing (I don't work at Tom Bihn, nor do I have any inside information) that if you're in the market for an Aeronaut 30 or Aeronaut 45 now is a great time to buy.

First, I had to google "chronosynclastic infundibulum."

I don't think it's the Smart Alec, because there are different zippers for the main compartment (#10 YKK Aquaguard coil zippers) and the side pockets (#8 YKK Aquaguard® coil zippers).

I am going to guess that you are referring to the backpack formerly known as the Muse!

Hero's Journey top pack? Seems to fit all the clues....

I would love a bag similar to Hero's Journey top pack that I can purchase separately. I will then be able to carry all my wardrobe in my S19 and a shoulder bag for in-flight tech and necessities. This Tranformer bag can then be used as a day backpack at destination. I have 4 overseas trips planned (3 to 8 days' trips) for this summer and this combo would be ideal.

Riddles aren't my thing, but I'm thinking some of its design influence has come from the Smart Alec as well. Look at this early version of the Smart Alec. One main compartment with a zip with two "hidden" zippered side pockets.

Maybe this new backpack has "stealth" zippered openings? Hmm...

Very interesting! That old version of the Smart Alec looks like many of the stealth, low profile EDC backpacks sold today by various companies. Tom Bihn seems to have always been ahead of the times on design. I'm excited for the new release. Hope it's coming soon!
