The Empire Builder is AWESOME.

Just got my new Empire Builder. I was essentially needing a Brain Bag Suitcase. It doesn't hold as much as the BB, but it holds a ton. It's extremely well made (of course), is easy to carry (even when fully loaded) and looks fantastic.

I'm surprised this bag isn't more popular, but I guess as laptops are getting smaller and lighter, so are bags. For me, I love being able to hold the following items in a beautiful but tough looking bag:

• 15" MBP
• 12.9" iPad Pro
• Bose QuietComfort headphones
• Bag of cables/adapters
• 2nd Aid Kit (aka misc. sundries)
• Side Kick
• External USB Drive
• MBP Power Adapter
• iPad Pro Power Adapter
• Anker 10 port USB charger
• Belkin Surge Protector
• Flashlight
• Anker USB Charger, and
• Zojirushi stainless steel thermos

I'll be doing a video review comparing it to the Co-Pilot and Pilot over the next few weeks. Be on the lookout!

I saw the video but it’s not clear how you fit the thermos.

Any chance you could share this info?

Hi -- the bag is plenty big and there are a few different places you can fit the thermos — the main compartment, one of the front pockets (that go under the flap) or, depending on the size of your thermos, there's a pocket on the front of the flap that you can slip it down into.

I usually slide a Thermos or huge bottle in the main compartment at the end of the computer I am carrying and it just stands there waiting for me to need it.
I only carry a computer inside a Brain Cell in general there or a Toughbook and the hard sides of the bag and computer case wall off a perfect spot for bottles for me.

Since I carry a gaming laptop when I travel, I need the Empire Builder or the Synapse 25. I used to carry a Super Ego, with a 17" gaming laptop in it, so it's actually a step down.

I LOVE the Empire Builder. It's the perfect size and organizational layout.
