FWIW, I use a Nordic Daylight Briefcase (8L) like a large Side Kick... it's horizontal versus the vertical LCB though, so depends on what you prefer.
I like all the blues and greys...and all the happy citrus colours too! My search unicorn is the Sapphire Dyneema original Small Shop Bag...

cafe bags that zip closed, as melminimalist suggested
a slightly larger SideKick, as suggested by KAB
Synapse 25 (or any TB bag) with integrated laptop storage.
Synapse 25 with a full clamshell zip! It would make the bag SO MUCH EASIER to pack and it doesn't seem like they'd have to modify the design at all.
I far prefer bags with flaps, but I would LOVE a cafe bag that zipped closed inside AND had a flap.

A 22L Synapse
A 32-35L Synapse or an updated Brain Bag with:
1. Frame sheet/stiffener.
2. Front lash straps removed.
3. Two side water bottle pockets added.
4. Interior mesh pockets in the one or both of the main compartments.
I say it every year: moar cheerful exterior colors pretty please!
I'm looking forward to the newer fabrics making their way into accessory pouches like OPs, 3DOC's, YSS, and Q Kits. I like having a wide variety of colors to differentiate pouches from each other.

Dedicated laptop bag:
* Smaller BB or S25-sized
* Stands-upright when left on the floor
* Clamshell opening (especially if it's a small BB)
* Not as wide as the BB, maybe a little taller
* Laptop compartment rather than Cache
Making a BB with just one compartment would be super cool, especially if it opened clamshell for ease of packing. And/or, if it had a pocket for internal organization (which is safer) such as a mesh pocket high-up, to keep stuff out of the Crush zone.
If it's more S25-inspired, then a little less outside storage, a stiffer frame, and a more 'square' figure to have less wasted space vs. the ovoid shape of the S25.
An Aeronaut 36L, basically a 30L with some added tech-compartmentalization!
A laptop bag that is slightly cushier than the Daylight Briefcase (which I use with a Cache)...essentially a smaller Cadet as used to be offered.
Yes please!! I really like my cafe bag, but don't use often because pickpockets are rampant here.
A ziptop cafe bag would be a-ma-zing! I don't care one way or the other about the flap.
