So not necessarily TB inspired but....

I made a new passport wallet for my cruise to Cuba next month with some cork fabric I have been DYING to try and this seemed like the perfect project for it. I'm pleasantly surprised by how it turned out. Also made one for my boyfriend with a simpler interior (I made his first). They turned out so well I'm going to make one for a close friend as a goodbye gift since she is leaving to teach english in Asia later this year.

And the inside of the boyfriend's (the outside is the same)

...a book is a fragile creature, it suffers the wear of time, it fears rodents, the elements, clumsy hands. If for a hundred and a hundred years everyone had been able freely to handle our codices, the majority of them would no longer exist. So the librarian protects them not only against mankind but also against nature, and devotes his life to this war with the forces of oblivion, the enemy of truth.

Another A30 sized packing cube made from my useless IKEA shoe bag! I used mesh I have in my fabric stash for the lid, and some light blue gingham ribbon to bind the seams. Below is an inside and an outside view. This means I have now got one cube in navy and one in pink! They are one inch less deep than the TB cubes but they hold quite a bit.

I love the Nik's wallet design and simplicity,
But it is too small for French ID card and does not have coins pouch

so I am making som...several alterations of Nik's wallet
and here you are the one I currently use (French ID card size so around 11cmx8cm)

This alteration has 4 pockets (2 open pockets : front and inside, 1 zip pocket, and 1 "hidden" pocket Wink)

    Spoiler for here the 'inside':
    just a Bihnion here

Rei, sorry I missed your post here, I've been a bit hit and miss.

My new goal is to make some Ghost Whales. One thing about the knockoffs I've made so far (which BTW I use all the time) is that the way the TB items are constructed makes them extremely and pleasingly efficient to sew. The Ghost whales are one piece of cloth, one zip, ribbon for binding and tag, and a hook. They are scrap-sized, which also makes them attractive. And they look interestingly tricky. I'm considering variations too: lined (to use my cotton scraps); leather (ditto I have some leather from up cycling and scraps which were given to me); embroidered or embellished, etc.
