Hanging a Side Kick: Teach a new bag new tricks

I went out this morning to a local breakfast spot and took a seat at the bar.

Looking for a place to stash my Side Kick I noticed a coat hook mounted beneath the bar. While at first I considered hanging the bag from the strap I thought there must be a better way to keep it close at hand.

There was. The central O-ring at the back of the bag. So up it went, which was great! Super convenient place to store my stuff while sipping coffee, made some notes, used the calculator on my phone, retrieved an index card and my miniature square. Even needed the flashlight at one point, which was easy to get out, use, and replace.

My apologies for the terrible picture. This bag continues to surprise me.

Keep an eye on the weight of your bag if you use the inside o-rings like that - they're designed to have items tethered to them but not to carry the weight of a full bag

Instead you might want to get a carabiner or HeroClip and use the external gatekeeper waist strap attachment points, though you'd have to keep the bag closed to hang it that way
I like all the blues and greys...and all the happy citrus colours too! My search unicorn is the Sapphire Dyneema original Small Shop Bag...
