Looking at the first picture it appears that the straps are sown into the seam where the bottom "tub" material meets the main body material. I don't see the handy tri-glide connectors at the bottom which allowed for the easy red strap swap's.
I really like the option of using the red/black accents on the Shadow Guide, that was one feature I would hope would make it into the V2.
One thing I really like in the V2 is moving the top pocket zipper to the back of the bag, I have dropped a lot of loose things out of that pocket over time, so much so I put in a big mesh ghost whale pouch and everything gets zipped in there and it is clipped in the pocket.
Another neat feature is the blacked out TB logo patch, so stealth, a really nice touch.

Seeing as they are offering two sizes, I wonder if the V2 small size will be more in line with the Smart Alec in terms of measurements and capacity.
The V1 SG is 31L and is smaller around and taller than the SA. I wonder when scaling it down if they shorten it and increase the circumference and hit the same(ish) volume of the SA at around 26L.
The only top loader left is the full guides pack, so with this new SG V2 they may be able to fill two niche's with one design in two sizes.
(that niche being a streamlined top loading pack with no outside pockets)
I asked Customer Service about the size back in January and the answer was "somewhere in the mid-20s".
This thread's been pretty quiet.. any news on when we might see a launch of the Shadow Guide V2?
I asked Tom Bihn customer service about this a few days ago, and they said that they were pretty overwhelmed trying to make enough masks, but that they hoped that it would be available sometime this year.
