How strong are the o-rings on the Synapse 25?

Can it carry a utility strap and jacket? https://www.dsptch.com/collections/k.../utility-strap

I'm asking because there are no d-rings on the outside of the backpack. I was planning on attaching the utility strap to the o-ring inside the water bottle pocket and let the utility strap hang outside.

    Thanks.

As an alternative, does this post help?

No mention of o-ring carry capacity in that link.

No, but it's an alternative to carry your jacket on the outside instead using the waist strap through the outside bottom loop.

Hi @dailo, and thanks for posting on the forum!

I believe the o-ring in that pocket is the same as on the outside of the smaller shoulder bags (like the Travel Cubelet or Side Effect) so I'd expect the hardware to hold the weight of a small strap and jacket for sure. The stitching of the fabric loop attaching the o-ring to the bag would be my only remaining question.

You could double-check with Customer Service--they could tell you whether they think that's advisable.

Thanks x3n0n, that makes sense. I'll check with Customer Service to get the specs on the o-ring and fabric loop.
