Has Tom Bihn Ever Used or Considered Fidlock Buckles (or has anyone hacked one)?

I cut the original buckle with the dremel as well, but it doesn't need to be hidden the way the cut in the Fidlock does, so that gives you some wiggle room to be careful. You could probably use a different tool as well (some heavy duty snips perhaps) but for me it was enough to just pull the buckle away from any fabric as much as possible and cut it on the side.

Well, my Fidlock Slider 40 arrived today, and after taking the Dremel to both buckles, here’s the result:

And I have to say, I’m very happy! Much easier to use than the traditional buckle, and I love the sound of the “thunk” as the two magnets come together. Thanks for all the help, @Surrealle !
