Spirit Airlines changes bag size allowance

Spirit Airlines, which only allows a "personal item" on board without charge, will change the size limit of that item on April 4.

It will go from "16 x 14 x 12" to "18 x 14 x 8". That means the Night Flight and the Western Flyer both meet the new size requierments.

I believe this was done to match the personal item size limit of American Airlines' new "Basic Economy" fare.

That actually makes me happy because I didn't have any bags that fit well into the old dimensions, I made do with a Pilot on my last trip. The Western Flyer will feel huge in comparison!
