Haven't been able to snap a pic yet, but there are a pair of mourning doves building a nest in the tree right next to my apartment balcony. Bird flies to ground to get a twig, then to my balcony rail (rest? scope it all out?), then into the tree to build... rinse & repeat.
A day or so ago, one of the local hummingbirds decided to check out my balcony (undoubtedly to critique out how I rearranged my furniture). It was hovering below the railing...so when the mourning dove came back and the hummingbird suddenly went vertical (as they do), the dove fell off the balcony in surprise and had to make a backwing recovery. Didn't lose the twig!
This is better than television people! (which is good, because I don't own one)
