    Glove ideas?

Just came back from a New Yearís walk in the Public Gardens...and my hands are nearly numb.

Iíve been wearing merino wool long sleeve tees and LOVE them for keeping me the right temp without overcooking me and also that they are stretchy and move with me. I realized today that what I am looking for in a glove is version of these tees for my hands. Thin and snug enough to let me write and do things with my hands and at the same time warm and toasty.

    Ideas??

I have some SmartWool merino wood 'glove liners' that are good for that. They are pretty thin and knit construction, so flexible, and add warmth. Not good for deep cold or wet conditions, but when you just want that bit of nice warmth...
I bought my pair a long time ago, so I don't know what they're like now or if the % merino has changed...there's definitely nylon in there for durability.
I like all the blues and greys...and all the happy citrus colours too! My search unicorn is the Sapphire Dyneema original Small Shop Bag...

The only solution I've found so far is the same -- wool glove liners. I bought mine at LL Bean, but I'm sure they're available in any sporting store.

I use silk lined leather gloves. Similar to pilot gloves except those are without lining.

Oooh I just went to the Smartwool site to check these out and the glove liners have touchscreen conductive thread on the thumb and at least one fingertip. Nice!

I think that tech was way before the time of my glove liners, lol - mine are old school Smilie

I rarely use them now that I live in CA again but they travel with me when I go to cold places - they're usually rolled up in a Size 1 stuff sack, stored with my other travel stuff
