Oh no! I can imagine the tragedy involved, for both the dog and the owner!

Our 4 month old pup is teething. She almost destroyed this new toy in about 30 minutes. I'm going to order her a Skookum Bat but probably won't give it to her until she stops destroying stuffed toys so quickly.

What a cutie pie! You might have already tried this idea, but I'll throw it out there just in case it's new to anyone. I give my teething dogs frozen washcloths to chew on (wet a washcloth, roll it into a log, then put it in the freezer). The frozen-ness slows down the destruction rate. And I suspect the cold feels good on the gums.

This is for supervised play only, because once the washcloth starts to defrost, then it can be ripped (and potentially swallowed). Once defrosted, it gets rinsed and re-frozen. Note that if the gums are bleeding from the teething, then you will get blood on the washcloth.

Paddington could not care less about how Sitka might look as a lining for various Aeronaut exterior colors.

Shanisol, Phoebe is beautiful! And she looks like a giant at only 12 weeks. Our dog was also a rescue from Oklahoma, brought here by the Denver Dumb Friends League in 2012. Since you and I only live about a mile apart, I should be able to tell if Phoebe is part Catahoula. They have the loudest (and the longest) bark I've ever heard. I'll be looking for you at the nearby park. Bet you spend a lot of time there now??

By the way, one night I spotted a porcupine in my neighborhood about 6 years ago, but that was the only time in 24 years.

Missing this little guy. He's currently away with his other parent, but a few weeks ago, I caught him like this, sleeping while sitting up. It took him a good five minutes to even notice I was in the room. And yes, he's claimed my SE strap as his own.

Thanks, Susan! We do take her to the park a few times a week - it really helps to burn off all her puppy energy. I'd love to see you there. Smilie

Not all good things come in small packages. Our lab Pancho turned 9 months old yesterday. As shown in the photos, he started out small at 8 weeks but now I have to tell everyone that he is still a puppy, albeit a 75 pound one.

I've seen dogs try to sleep standing up, but don't know if I've seen a kitty try that -- very cute!

As you might imagine, it was a dreadful experience for everyone not to mention a great advertisement for keeping your dog on a leash at all times. This wasn't my furbaby but she did spend a few day convalescing with me. Her doggie doc was an amazing human being!

I decided to flip my Skookum dog camp mat over from the fuzzy side and my cat decided to take advantage of the sun to lounge upon its top section.
