As I sit here buried under washi tape, pens, covers, and desperately trying to decide what to do with the 5 year Hobo before the 1st--I thought it was a good time to congratulate all the enablers in the group. I wouldn't have gotten here without you

    I can't wait to start!

I'm really curious to see how people use the 5 year. I had it on order but cancelled it. I'm not forward thinking, so it intimidated me. That seemed like a good reason to get it, to challenge myself, but I chickened out. I still want it, though...

I'm most looking forward to using my Steiff cover and Steiff edition Techo.

You enablers forced me to purchase my first Hobonichi Weeks I’ve been enjoying getting started with the included December pages. The Weeks is so compact that I’m sure I’ll bring it along everywhere. Now which bag is best to carry it...

    Happy New Year!

I just started with a Hobonichi Weeks a couple weeks ago and I'm *loving* it! (Whether I'm actually more organized is anyone's guess lol)

Do any lovely Weeks users happen to have a travel cubelet? It seems like it would just *barely* fit, and I'm debating one?

Yes, I'd say it barely fits in terms of height - in my Dawn (210 ballistic) TC, I can fit in the following:
    - 210 Viridian Cubelet with charging cables and jackery (full but not bulging)
    - COW with lots of cards
    - mini q-kit with bits and bobs, on top of the interior cubelet
    - Weeks (regular not mega)

It all fits snugly, if the weeks is in the middle of the TC so it can steal some height from the sides. Will try to post a pic or two. If the TC is packed full and bulging, it might not zip closed with the Weeks.

    Hope that description makes sense!

I'm so glad I found this thread. i spent way too much money in Dec on (tom bihn) bags and (hobonichi) planners and I have no regrets lol.
Using a cousin avec for planning, the original for a diary/journal and weeks for tracking daily things.

I was looking at the Field Journal but in the end went with a lihit lab zip-around notebook case for my A5 cover+bag thing. Still looking at the field journal. anyone use it for their hobonichis? I wasn't sure if the 3 ring binder portion can be removed.
(Edit: yes it can. no idea why i missed this info the last time i was looking at the FJ)
(anyway there's 29 pages of threads and i'm going to slowly look thru haha)

I'm loving how well the Travel Cublet works as a portable planner kit. It perfectly holds my A6 plus a few pens and accessories. This plus the SK in the Pop Tote is my new favorite EDC.

Currently using my (first!) Techo for both planning and journaling - I tend to use the right page of each daily spread for the latter to avoid people looking at what I've previously written. As for inks and pens nothing too fancy here unfortunately. I love my Fountain Pens, but have recently purged both to my two beloved. My go-to is a vintage Pelikan M400NN, which is inked with Platinum Carbon Black, and secondly is a Lamy AL-Star my GF got my as a Xmas present last year - that's with Diamine Oxblood at the moment but will be swapping into J. Herbin 1670 Rouge Hematite. Wanting some of the more fancy Japanese inks, especially Kon-Peki!

Still looking for the perfect travel cover though. Currently with a Harris Tweed cover, but looking for something more specialised for traveling - and the official Hobonichi Travel case is far two expensive.

Just curious whether any of you forum members have looked at or ordered the new Hobonichi Drawer Pouches The small drawer pouches, in particular, enjoyed brisk sales once they became available. (Note that the Small Drawer Pouch cannot hold a Weeks planner inside; the Large Drawer Pouch can store A5 notebooks). Any comments from Hobonichi fans?

I really really thought about getting one (small, hedgehog or the picnic design) but I think they are just a bit too expensive for what they are especially when you add in shipping to the US. I am loving how the A6 fits perfectly in the travel cublet though

The Hedgehog one is on my wish list. I really want the Large because it would be the perfect Pen Pal Organizer Pouch. I could put in letters that need replies, my pad of A5 writing paper, a couple of pens, cartridges, stamps, washi. I'm currently using a Lihit Lab A5 pouch, and I like it, but I wish all the pockets were on the inside. The flaps on the outside pockets catch on things when I slip it into my bag.

You might like the A6 (I'm assuming that's the size you have) Nock Co. Seed Case. I have one, and I love it for travel.
    Seed A6 ? Nock Co.
