    Getting the booking dates wrong!

    Hi folks!

We have a trip planned next month, and I booked the air and train tickets. Fortunately, I got the dates right for the flights! However, I somehow managed to be off by a week for our train tickets from Paris to London. I was typing "No idea how this happened...," but it's clear what happened -- I goofed!

Fortunately, my wife caught it, and I'm changing the reservation!

Don't do what I do -- double check that you have the dates and times correct when you're making your booking!

    Happy travels!

I did this with the first night hotel stay on our trip to Japan a few years ago... didn't pay attention to the time/date change when we would arrive!

That's my personal nightmare: I want to check in the hotel and it turns out that I put in the wrong month. Recently, I thought it had come true but luckily it turned out that the hotel made a mistake and we received an upgrade!

On one of my last meetings however, I had a variant: I wanted to check in and it turned out I had reserved two rooms (just for myself). I couldn't believe it but I had used two different e-mail adresses and thus, I didn't notice the doubling. Although it was already quite late the hotel could give the room to someone else and I wasn't charged. Lucky me!
