I just discovered what I think is a fabulous site that helps travelers help each other and also make one aware of all of the preservation going on all over the world:

The author has other pages as well that you might find interesting. Take a gander, look around and tell me what you think.

I ran into this the first time I ever visited Copenhagen. It wasn't the greatest view, and it seemed many buildings were covered, but I was happy that locals cared enough to preserve them.

I was lucky in that we had booked the tour that took the bridge over into Sweden, but felt sorry for those that had been only the city tour. Don't be fooled by the name, it covers WAY more than buildings. Poke around a bit and see what I mean and help out if you can by sending back reports and photos.

I was lucky once again because I missed Big Ben being scaffolded a just a few weeks. I had seen it before, but my son never had and it's own of those things that is better in person.
