    Hero's Journey for small woman?

    Wondering how Hero's Journey would be for a woman 5 3" and 110? I'm thinking much too big but thought I'd check.

    @jterran,

    I'm pretty sure that @NWHikergal, the author of this thread and the photos taken, is pretty close to the specs you're asking about, just based on previous forum discussions, and also the discussions about petite garment sizing with Ibex from the Merino wool for short people thread. She might be up to an inch shorter (5'2"). One of the reasons there's been so much interest in her posts here (apart from the gorgeous pictures) is that there are a lot of petite-sized women on the forums who are curious about how the bag specs would work out for them.

    Trip Report: The Hero's Journey

    Hi @jterran, I am about 5'3", approximately 115 at the moment, and the Hero's Journey worked well for me. The only potential issue might be that I tightened the hip belt most of the way, so depending on how one's weight is distributed, the belt might be too loose, if one is super skinny. I did not have an issue with the size of the pack versus my torso, and it fit very comfortably. I am used to wearing backpacking packs, so the larger volume did not intimidate me. If you have more questions, just ask. :)
