oh yes, it‘s a protected landscape called „Wieser Werfa“ above Kasern in the Ahrntal (Valle Aurina) a magic place!

My bag went apple picking and through the corn maze this weekend.

If you’re wondering, the Luminary 15 fits just shy of a full peck of apples, and carries a lot more comfortably than those drawstring plastic bags most orchards provide.

These pictures were taken at Jonamac Orchard in Malta, Illinois (near Northern Illinois University and DeKalb).

If you live in Chicago or the suburbs, it’s probably the closest place to get out and pick apples in the country (along with Goebbert’s in Pingree Grove, IL).

My S25 made the 3 hr drive last weekend to Decorah, IA to meet my parents who we hadn’t seen in person since Christmas due to COVID.

This weekend started out with a hike of the Mt. Randall Loop at Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan...





...and finished with hiking a couple local county forest preserves [back home in Illinois] on Sunday afternoon.
