Hi everyone,
My husband and I will be taking our 2 kids, 6 and 11, on a three-week train trip around Europe this summer. We all travel light, but I anticipate that we grown-ups will be taking the kids' stuff in our Aeronauts (one is a 45 and one is a 30) -- they can put their fun and comfort stuff in their own packs but we'll take the clothes and toiletries and swim gear and etc etc. Thus the bags will probably be packed to maybe 10kg each.
Given that weight load, and the fact that we will have *many* transfers which involve walking around train stations, walking to train stations, waiting in train stations, etc., do you think it is worthwhile getting the frame sheets and hip belts for our bags?
Shipping/customs/etc to Sweden adds considerably to the price, so I want to feel like it's something that will really be worthwhile. Otherwise I will spend the money eating fondue in Switzerland or cakes in a Viennese café!
(Darn it, I probably should have put this in the "questions about bags" thread, sorry -- mods, can you "whoosh"? ETA: ooh, you did!)
