Hi all,
Does anyone have experience packing hiking boots in the end compartments of the Aeronaut 30? I'm thinking one boot in each, and on the smaller side - men's size 7.5. Feasible or is this a non-starter?
Thanks,
Harry

Just tried and my size 8 hiking boots just fit one into each end compartment of Aeronaut 30. But it’s tight fit and will depend on ankle height and rigidity of your hiking boot material.
Greetings,
Yes. Mr. Tom Bihn provided a great photo, too! Check it out here: https://forums.tombihn.com/packing-l...aut-45%60.html
Good luck! elisa
Great, thanks very much for your replies! Although I appreciate the photo, I'm hoping to avoid packing the boots in the main compartment in the way that Tom did.
Cheers,
Harry
Welcome to the Forums, @hringleby!
I have a bunch of great bags. Favorite color combos include Aubergine/Island, Navy/Solar, Forest/UV, Original Halcyon/Wasabi, Cloud/Viridian... and now also Seapine/UV!
I've fulfilled my dream of palindromic-colored nested bags! Navy/Ultraviolet Pilot with Aubergine/Island Side Effect inside: blue purple purple blue. Forest/UV A45 with Aubergine/Wasabi Co-Pilot inside: green purple purple green.
My general rule is wear the boots and pack the smaller shoes.
Yes, indeed, your hiking boots will fit in the end pockets of an A30. Here are photos of men’s size 9 hiking boots in my A30. I tried to fit both into one pocket, but couldn’t zip it up. However, one in each pocket works great, plus you can add other things to the pockets in order to maximize the space.
