How do you stow the zip-top shop bags?

    Hello all,

Just before Christmas I bought a small and large zip-top shop bag.

They're great! Especially with all the rain we've been having in the UK.

I wondered if anyone had a way of stowing the bags when you're on the go.

Most if the threads I've found are for the original shop bags, and they don't quite work with the zip-top ones - I guess the zip adds a little too much bulk.

And all I've been able to do is fold them into their own pockets. And wondered if there was a way to get them smaller without damaging the piping in the sides?

    Thanks all

    Greetings,
I don't fold mine, so I can't help there. I stow it flat in a larger bag, mostly when traveling.

When folding any bag, be sure the zippers are unzipped. The zipper coils may become damaged if folded while in the zipped position. elisa

Yeah, I stuff it into it's own pocket when I'm just carrying one. Zipper doesn't interfere at all.

I just kind of awkwardly fold them up (with the zippers unzipped, as @AlaskaGirl says) and stuff them into whatever other bag I'm carrying. If I don't think I'll need the zip top, I'm much more likely to take an original-style (non-zip) shop bag because they're so much easier to pack into other bags, but sometimes the zip is very handy!

I find that stowable bags just create another lump to deal with in my packing scheme. At best you might find a little gap to tuck one into, but packing them flat works every time. You could use the small one like a packing cube.

Hmm, so it seems like stowing it in it's own pocket is the way to go.

Thanks for the advice anyway guys :-)

I roll mine up and shove it into the bottom pocket of my S22. When I'm at the grocery store checkout I try to fit everything into the S22 main compartment. If I run out of space, I need to be able to extract the LZSB without causing a bunch of things to fall out.

Hmm, so its pretty much stuff/roll/pack as needed.
I wonder if it takes up as much space rolled as it does folded into its pocket? Maybe that's the way to go for the everyday carry.

It's a pity the zips make it too big to fit in the q-kit like the original shop bag does, i wonder if it fits in any other pouches - I have a cublet, I'll have to pull it out and see if it fits.

The small fits in a 3DOC no problem.
