Have Aeronauts ever had Ballastic for interor fabric?

When I have looked, I recall only ever seeing halcyon fabric for the interior of the Aeronauts. Other large bags have had halcyon for interiors. It appears it would open a wider choice of colors if ballastic fabrics offered.

Or is there a reason ballistic fabric doesn't work as an interior of the aeronauts?

    Weight and unnecessary durability.

From halcyon and ballastic PCSB I have, I would have said halcyon was heavier. I looked now at the PCSB page and 210d ballastic is 6% heavier than 200d halcyon version. I don't think that is significantly heavier carry to prohibit its use.

You can email TB directly to ask, but I would assume it has more to do with @Darcy's off repeated statement that there's only so many colour combo's they can handle & keep in stock per bag at once...
I like all the blues and greys...and all the happy citrus colours too! My search unicorn is the Sapphire Dyneema original Small Shop Bag...

It may also be due to seam bulk - with the 1050 & 525 ballistic exteriors, adding 210 ballistic interior to the seam allowance would make the bound seams stiffer and bulkier than halcyon would leave them. That can lead to some construction difficulties with bags that are a complex as the Aeronauts (not nearly as much of an issue with something simpler like the DLBP). Just my thoughts as someone who has constructed bags before. Cool

That makes sense. To me the fabrics, 200d halcyon 210d ballistic, seem very similar, but all this micro-differences certainly change manufacture. The synapses, syniks, dlbc, and many other have interior in 210d ballistic I was wondering why the popular aeronauts had not as if could open some more color options.
