There have been hundreds of really good “hacks” on the forum over the years. I’ve enjoyed every one of them.
Key straps hooked to O rings and a wallet or other important items makes it more difficult to get items out of your bag. Keeping the buckle next to your body would help too. IIRC you can hook a key...
I know you said you’d prefer to avoid cotton however, if anyone is interested, I really like Duluth Trading long tail/no yank T’s. I hate shirts that are too short with a passion.
I want at least the option to be hands free when I travel. It makes things so much easier. The goal is no questions from the TSA, hands Free and no back ache at the end of the day. If I can do that,...
Elisa, you’re welcome. If you have any questions about I do something just let me know. While I’m no expert I am considered our family’s best packer. Can’t count the number of times someone had asked...
Good morning, not snarky at all. As to ideal, I really wanted to have nothing more than my pilot & side kick. That would’ve been perfect but just couldn’t pull it off this time. I wore jeans, turtle...
I recently (got home today) flew from Maine to Colorado for a week. On my way through security in Boston my western flyer needed extra searching. In it I had four packing cubes, my clear organizer,...
Update, seems UPS for whatever reason will not deliver to my POBox this time. As always Kat at TB customer service is on duty & will fix everything. Might be delivered tomorrow. Guess that’s what I...
Ugh, my Pilot was supposed to arrive today. Been waiting for days. It didn’t & the post office doesn’t gave it, UPS has no updates. All I got from UPS was delivery delay needs attention check back...
Not as exciting as most but mine went to Denver & became well aquatinted with the critical care unit of a Denver hospital. My side kick sat quietly on a shelf and offered a lot of support by carrying...
Motions, that was such a great thread. I remember it having a lot of great ideas. Hope you’re well, Moose
Good morning, does your side kick fit short side up or log side up? I’m looking for something that would hold it long side up & at the same tim hold my field journal with some space left over for an...
There are a couple of old threads, maybe 2014-ish, that talk about bag security. I mention them because there were a lot of pictures that you might find useful. Some pretty clever ideas for hooking...
Good evening everyone, need a bit of advice. I am in need of a bag that, ideally, would carry my field journal, side kick & a few other bits. The co-pilot is almost perfect, just a smidge too small....
I have a pouch (not TB ) that wraps/Velcro’s around the shoulder strap of the S19 i’ve been carrying every day for years. Really good for keys, a bit of cash, a card or two, I stuff receipts in it,...
Several times over the years i’ve wished for a kiwi side effect. I’m changing it up this year. I’d love a kiwi co-pilot. In the alternative a kiwi side kick.
Ah, don’t feel too guilty. A visit to the local hardware store can produce some other creative hacking devices if TB isn’t available. Also, apologies for the incorrect auto correct spelling of your...
Motions, there’s an oldie but goodie photo right there. Thanks for sharing. Moose
Darcy, e-mail sent & thanks. It was a lot of fun.
Many years ago several of us were sent fabric swatches so we could preform torture tests. Try as I might I could barely get the surface of my swatch scratched, let alone wear a hole in it. Sure was...
Hi Frank, I remember when you started your journey. Nice to know it’s bee successful & still going strong.
When I started this thread five years ago I had no idea it would have such a long life. I recently rehomed three TB bags. Glad to know others will make good use of them rather than having them...
I love my coffee drippers. I have a couple of these, the one in you link & a red one that is a smidge larger. Haven’t owned a coffee pot in decades.
I tried to love mine. However, in the end it was just too big. I ended up with an S25 and later two S19s. I use the S25 for travel but an S19 has been my daily companion for years.
Hi Sturbridge, Mose or maybe BagLady, Bag Lady... 😊 meeting you was pretty great. Loved your little Swift, Black dynemna IIRC. I still gave all my kiwi and still love it .
