At least for the Synapse (I don't have your other bags so can't verify), you can undo the strap, put the band on, and then rethread the strap through the keepers. Although you don't even need to do...
Before strap keepers were a thing, I used Ranger Bands to wrap up and hold excess straps. They work really well and are much more cost effective if you need a large amount.
I haven't been anywhere lately, but rediscovered this picture from last October. The deer of Miyajima, Japan can be pretty aggressive. This one was going for a bag of chips I had in my S25.
I've used my Aeronaut 45 for a few trips now, and I have one issue with it. It's hard to insert or remove something from the top pocket without everything else in there falling out. I think the...
I have a current Luminary; it was just too small for my trip. But I agree, if they could get the straps on the Synapse to feel like the ones on the Luminary that would take care of it for me.
Having spent a week walking around a humid climate recently, I'd love to see lighter/more breathable straps and backing on the Synapses.
If you put your jacket in the divider in the main compartment, that will keep your camera and water bottle separated so they won't bang into each other. You might want to get the longer keystrap so...
I have an Olympus E-M10 which is roughly the same size as your Fuji (you can check the sizes here). It fits in a 3D Organizer Cube just fine.

And the 3DOC with camera can hang...
The S25 is great if I need to carry a change of clothes. Otherwise, the S19 works for me for everyday use.
No need to worry. If you treat it like something you want to keep for a long time, you'll get plenty of good use out of it.
Not quite, the left and right pockets are larger (the right moreso): https://blog.tombihn.com/update-luminary-backpack
The updated Luminary isn't available yet, so only the TB Crew can answer...
I just tried this and it kind of works, but not as well as the S25 sheet. It's better than no frame sheet, at least.
First off, here is a comparison of the two frame sheets:
...
I use a frame sheet without a waist strap and the frame sheet is still worth having, IMO.
Volume is measured by stuffing the bag with plastic balls and then measuring the volume/weight of the balls. There's some discussion of the method here:...
Hey, that's going to be me in a couple weeks.
The blog post says the original was remeasured using a new method to get the 10L figure.
I like the original Luminary (I took it to Disneyland yesterday!) but I later got an S19 for when I need...
I have a Black Halcyon S25 and a Deep Blue Ballistic S19. I would choose based on which material works best for your use instead of which color. The Halcyon doesn't retain the structure of the bag...
Danner makes hiking boots in wide widths.
The updated Cache had kind of a quiet debut, so I thought I'd post some pictures.

The new Cache differs...
Incidentally, I was on New Balance's website yesterday and saw these. Not sure if it's actually Dyneema but looks awfully close.

I have a small snake charmer for mine, which fits like it was made for that pocket.
I am...not an artist.

I'm going to try tying some cord around the rails on the back of the Cache and seeing if that works.
My cache fits so tightly that it's really difficult to pull the device out of it. Maybe add a strap to the bottom of the cache so that it can be held down while pulling the tablet out?
Follow up: it turns out I can have this as long as a fellow forum member is nice enough to send some from the other side of Earth.

I now have about two 3DOCs...
